Terms and Conditions

Payment

All prices are stated in USD / EUR. The EUR price include Swedish VAT (currently 25%) that will be charged to all purchases within the European Union. Companies within EU with an EC-VAT number can state this number, plus the company postal address registered, to have the VAT removed from the end price. All goods remain the property of Teenage Engineering until paid for in full.

Shipping

All orders are shipped from Sweden as soon as we receive stock from the factory and the units have been successfully tested. We ship all orders using UPS. When your order is placed we will send you a preliminary confirmation. Once your package is shipped we will send you an email with the tracking number. Due to courier restrictions and the risk of credit card fraud we cannot deliver to PO Boxes. Orders to countries outside the EU may be subject to VAT, import duties and/or taxes. We ship your package according to Incoterm Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU). This means that we do not collect VAT, duties and/or taxes on orders to countries outside the EU and we cannot predict what your particular charges may be. We write the following customs commodity code on our synthesizer shipments: 9207105000.

CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE EU ARE PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR CUSTOMS DUTIES, BROKERAGE & CLEARANCE ENTRY FEES IN ADDITION TO UPS/FEDEX SHIPPING COSTS.

Warranty

Teenage Engineering products come with a 1 (one) year limited warranty for the original owner, starting from the date of the purchase. Being able to prove the date of the original purchase with an invoice or a receipt is necessary if you require warranty service. Rechargeable batteries come with a 6 (six) month warranty from the date of original purchase.

If the machine should need a repair during the warranty period no charges will be applied for parts or labor. This warranty does not cover (a) Damage from physical abuse such as dropping the unit or impact from hard objects; (b) physically damaged connectors; (c) broken keys or physical damage to the keyboard mechanism; (d) damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from accident, negligence, misuse, abuse, improper installation or operation or failure to follow instructions according to the Owner's Manual for this product; (e) any shipment of the product (claims must be presented to the carrier); (f) repair or attempted repair by anyone other than or approved by Teenage Engineering; (g) any unit which has been altered or on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed; (h) normal wear and any periodic maintenance; (i damage due to inappropriate storage; (j) deterioration due to perspiration, corrosive atmosphere or other external causes such as extremes in temperature or humidity; (k) damages attributable to power line surge or related electrical abnormalities (including phantom power, wrong voltage, etc); (l) damage due to connecting other than certified USB charger/equipment to the USB port; (m) damage due to liquid contamination and / or battery leakage; (n) rfi/emi (interference/noise) caused by improper grounding or the improper use of either certified or uncertified equipment, if applicable; (o) damage resulting from any use other than that it was intended for; (p) product purchased as ex-demo, refurbished stock or second hand.

Number of dead pixels to exchange a screen: 2 or more. Number of hot pixels to exchange a screen: 2 or more. Exchange new screen with 1 dead pixel: Yes if reported within 14 days.

RMA Service Procedure

Contact Teenage Engineering if you need warranty service. Please provide your original order-ID number and a short description of the issue. Teenage Engineering will email you an RMA number with return instructions. You cannot send a unit for repair unless an RMA has been issued to you by Teenage Engineering.

Send the unit back to us using UPS or equivalent registered shipping. Please use original packaging. It is your responsibility to get it back to us safely! You will be given the address to your nearest repair center.

In the case of non warranty service the customer is responsible for all shipping costs, to Teenage Engineering and back to the customer.

In the case of warranty service, the customer is responsible for the shipping costs to Teenage Engineering. After completion of the warranty service, Teenage Engineering will cover the return shipping cost back to the customer.

DO NOT try to service the unit yourself. It will void the warranty.

Return Policy

Teenage Engineering offers a 14 day money back guarantee for all items sold directly by us. The 14 days are counted from the arrival of the item. The item has to be in »as new« condition for us to accept refunding and you cannot return an item without contacting Teenage Engineering first. The customer covers the shipping back to Teenage Engineering. A copy of the original invoice or receipt must be supplied with the item. The refund is transferred once we have received and inspected the returned item.

Cancellation Policy

Orders placed using direct bank transfer or PayPal can be canceled at any time before transferring money for the order. If no money has been received within 20 days the order will be canceled automatically. Orders paid using a credit card can be canceled and refunded immediately if the order has not been shipped. If the order has been shipped the Return policy applies.
