When I first saw this on your ‘YouTube Channel’, I laughed…but for good reasons though, ’cause I can’t wait to try it myself. This looks like it will be a very fun synth to use. Can’t wait to get one!
I have a question about the on-board NAND, how big of a roll does it play with the whole OP-1? Is it just used for storing samples and other types of files and that’s it? Or does it also store the OS/firmware and required files to keep the OP-1 running and booting up? The reason I ask this question is, if the NAND is required in order for the OP-1 to function and the NAND fails after wear-and-tear or fails because of some gremlin, the owner would pretty much be left with a dead Operator? Or would it still function without the NAND, if not, would there be a way for the user to replace the NAND in a user friendly way? Or would their be some add-on that you can attach to the USB port to expand/replace the on-board NAND, like some sort of microSD card adapter? Anyway, I’m just concerned about the life span of the OP-1.
Well, thank you for posting all these vids, they are making me want the OP-1 even more! Have fun at NAMM. Also, use the G-Force and they will come.
Yesterday my old mini keyboard broke down. It was just a matter of when, since its build quality was really bad. I take it as a token of what’s to come. I’m ready anytime for the OP-1 now. Release tour in march, I’d be happy to be your puppet and front it to the world.
i’ve been i love with OP-1 for months and months. and it keeps looking better – but honestly, guys. save some features for 2.0 and lemme get my hand on her already i guess the plus side to Q2 release will be i can use my tax return towards it! love the updates and congrats for the good reception at NAMM.
Hi, I am interested by the op-1 I am already happy to see the 8bit feature but could I play boogie funk sound like early 80’s synth and what Dam Funk is doing ?

I listened to the “Slow FM 4T” track on iTunes, and it sounds so beautiful. This this will be great for Movie\Game soundtracks.
Shake it shake it! It feels like there is a accelerator included, but i guess not…???!!??

Loving it ^-^ Can you map any variable to the accelerometer?
Hi n/a,
The life-time of Nand will not be a problem. For more info, read here:

Yes you can. Btw, Dam Funk is the man.
Thanks for the quick answer… now I am quietly waiting for the release…
