Studio System feedback

We got some feedback on our Studio System at the Musik Messe as well. One question was to make a part so you can mount a microphone clamp to the tube. We have planned parts like this, but it's exactly this type of interaction with users and other music equipment manufacturers we intend for the Studio System. So for your information we will now design a camera mounting/Microphone Clamp thread part and send to manufacture the coming weeks. Open question: Any part you really need and you think others need as well? (Other than our planned ¼″ BSW for microphone clamps/cameras?) Any input on this subject is welcomed. We also plan a ( 40 cm) rod with standard rack mount holes, release around July, for really nice rack set-ups in your studio. And of course, the OP-1 also has M6 threads on the back to mount on a Studio System rig.

Many times, I have considered fabricating a mount that would connect a Machinedrum or Monomachine to a positionable VESA monitor stand. I’m not sure the Studio System could take that kind of weight, but I really like the idea.

Allerian, please pass that question to Elektron. Maybe they are willing to incorporate a mounting hole on future machines that work with Studio System?

  3. Allerian says:

The OP-1 looks pretty lightweight. Do you think the Studio System could bear a 2.8kg load?

  4. jesper says:

Yes. It’s made of steel. But it also depends on how you build the rig of course. Do you want to place the machine on a stick straight up vertical?

  5. Allerian says:

I’d like to be able to position it freely in space on an articulated arm – much like you’d position a working lamp.
