Howdy people! We got a new string snippet. The plan was to add a couple of more demos but today we got a visit by three dogs (all different sorts), we went to the garbage dump (two times) with lots of old stuff to make room for 108 boxes of clothes (that arrived last week). Anyway, here is something to start with:

I was thinking about the OLED display.. Don’t they have a very limited life span (5-10 yrs)? I would want my synthesizer to last longer than that..

Amoleds has increased the performance lifetime to at least 20,000 hours, this doesn’t say it goes black after that. A longer lifetime of 40,000 to 60,000 hours is achievable, which corresponds to the lifetime of a TFT display.
A plus factor for AMOLEDs is the high contrast of 10,000:1 and the bright colour props. Also, the refresh rate is much higher, even at cold temperatures!
